Do you want to increase the value of your collectible cards and have their condition officially established? With our PSA Grading Service, your card will be evaluated by Professional Sports Authenticator (PSA), the leading name in the world of card appraisal. PSA is known for its strict standards and internationally recognized quality, giving your card the official status it deserves!

What does this service entail?

  • Preparation: When we receive the card, we will place it in a lipped sleeve and a card saver for ultimate protection.
  • Professional Grading by PSA: Each card is evaluated by PSA and provided with an authentic PSA label with an official grade (1-10).
  • Shipping & Insurance: We handle the entire process, from shipping to PSA to the safe return of your graded card.
  • Secure Packaging: Each card is placed by PSA in a sturdy, transparent slab to ensure long-term protection, additionally, upon receipt, we will immediately sleeve the slab with a PSA slab sleeve.

How does it work?

  1. Order the PSA Grading Service and select the number of cards you want to have graded.
  2. Send your card to us according to our secure shipping instructions.
  3. We arrange shipping to PSA and keep you informed of the progress.
  4. Receive your graded card back: When the card(s) return to Magic Traders after the grading process, we check the PSA Slabs and will contact you for the further process of shipping to you and any fees.
    Choose to pick up at our location (NL/Utrecht) or have the card shipped to you insured for extra security.

Please note: Grading by PSA takes an average of 5 to 6 months. We will inform you about the expected turnaround time when ordering this service.

Monthly submission: We send all received cards to PSA in the last week of every month. This way, we can offer you an efficient and reliable grading service!

How fees work


A fee is an additional cost charged when a card has a higher value than the maximum allowed.

Here is an overview of the maximum values per tier

  • €34.95 –> $500 maximum graded value
  • €84.95 –> $1000 maximum graded value
  • €124.95 –> $1500 maximum graded value
  • €209.95 –> $2500 maximum graded value

An example of how a fee works. You submit a card via the bulk tier (€34.95), it comes back as a PSA 10 and at that moment has a value of €600. What happens then? You will then be asked to pay the difference of the tier the card would normally be in (€84.95). This means an additional €50 will need to be paid.

Methodology

First, the cards must be correctly delivered to us, so we can prepare them for shipment to PSA. Once we receive the cards, we will include them in the submission process. All types of Trading Card Game cards and stickers graded by PSA can be submitted.

Throughout the entire process, we will keep you informed. For this, it is best to join our PSA WhatsApp group. Whenever the status of your cards changes, you will automatically receive an update.

Preparing the desired card for shipment

For submitting your cards, we ask you to first place each card in a Penny Sleeve and then slide it into a Card Saver. Card Savers can be easily ordered through our webshop.

If you do not have Card Savers, you can also submit the cards in toploaders. In that case, make sure the top is taped with (painter's) tape, so that the cards cannot shift or get damaged during transport.

Please note: we strongly recommend always submitting cards in a Card Saver, as this is the safest and most suitable method for PSA grading.

We do not have a physical store, but cards can be dropped off by appointment at our location or sent by post according to our instructions.

Payment PSA

The grading fees must be paid in advance. This can be done when dropping off the cards in the store or when sending the cards via the bank account number listed on the PSA form. Any fees will always be charged at the end to avoid misunderstandings.

Verification and confirmation of receipt by Magic Traders

From the moment your cards arrive with us, you will receive a message via e-mail as soon as possible (usually within 1-5 business days). This will contain more information and which shipment your cards have been assigned to. From this moment on, your cards are also insured. This remains the case until the cards are returned to you after grading.

Your cards will then depart for PSA with the next shipment.

When the cards arrive at PSA and are registered, the waiting time until registration begins (the current waiting time can be found on the price list).

Return and inspection of PSA Slabs at Magic Traders

Once they return to Magic Traders after the grading process, we will inspect the PSA Slabs and prepare them based on the submission. We will then contact you regarding the further course of shipping to you or local pickup and any fees.

What is the deadline?

This is the last day on which cards will be accepted for that specific shipment of the month. However, the shipment only takes place the following week. This is because everything must be entered manually. Generally, we accept cards until the last Friday of the month, everything is entered that weekend, and on the Monday/Tuesday following the weekend, the cards go to PSA.


Insurance method

In case of loss of the card(s) (in raw condition), the raw value of the card in the specific tier in which the card was sent will be reimbursed. This means that if a card is sent in bulk, a maximum of €200 can be reimbursed. This applies per specific tier, all of which are listed on the PSA grading service page.

In case of loss of the card(s) (in graded condition), the value will be reimbursed, however, this cannot exceed the maximum value for which the card was sent to PSA.
